Museo Correr

The Fototeca Regionale holds 5,827 photographic reproductions of works of art from the Museo Correr collections in Venice.

The photographs document more than 2,000 drawings by Veneto artists, including sketches and preparatory studies by Giambattista Tiepolo, Francesco Guardi and Luca Carlevaris, and around 1,500 prints (woodcuts, lithographs, etchings and burin engravings) from the 15th to the 19th century, kept in the museum's Prints and Drawings Cabinet. The collection also contains reproductions of the four volumes of Gli Abiti de' Veneziani by Giovanni Grevembroch.

Lastly, the Regional Photo Library has 2,200 photographs of coins from the Correr Museum numismatic collection.

The photographs were taken between 1975 and 1979; most of the phototypes have the stamp of the Giacomelli studio in Venice.

The collection has been entirely digitised and part of the material can already be viewed by consulting the online catalogue.
